Kacche Kele Ki Kofta Curry is a gluten free dish prepared using raw green bananas. Typically prepared during fasting festivals like Navratri, Ekadashi, Mahashivratri, etc. but not restricted to fasts.
Pressure cook the raw bananas. Cool and peel them ensuring no water remains in them.
Mash the bananas and add 1tsp cumin powder, 1tsp chilly powder, 1tsp salt, 1tbsp peanut powder, 1 tsp coriander, upwas bhajani and make a soft dough.
Make small round balls from the dough. Roll them in the upwas bhajani flour and fry till golden brown.
In parallel, in a thick bottomed pan, on a medium flame, add 1 TBSP ghee. Add jeera seeds, chopped green chillies and saute for a minute. Add the peanut powder , amsul, salt , jaggery and water. Let the mixture come to boil.
Once the danyachi Amti thickens add the koftas and let it simmer for a minute.
The Kacche Kele Kofta Curry for upwas is ready to be served.
