Return to innocence

Its a nice rainy day.
Me : Walking down to office, in a peacock colored salwar khameez , admiring the lush green hills behind the office.
Security officer : Mam, have you seen a peacock
Me : For some reason I check my dress 😛
Security officer : No , please see behind you, there are three peacocks on that hill. For the first time in many years I am blessed to see three peacocks on the hill , all making sweet noises in the pitter patter of the rain. I go to work, only to think the entire day about a song I sung and danced to as a kid. It’s ” नाच रे मोरा  आंब्याच्या वनात  नाच रे मोरा नाच ”

The sight took me back to the wonder years , the songs lost in the working years and now which once more feature on my playlist.

सांग सांग भोलानाथ पाऊस पडेल काय – Whenever I see a नंदी बैल (rare sight now a days) I find myself automatically humming this one. It also makes me dream about ” आठवड्यातुन रविवार येईल का रे तीनदा ”

असावा सुन्दर चॉक्लेटचा बंगला -My baking dream is to make a चॉक्लेटचा बंगला with लेमनच्या खिडक्या दोन , पेपरमिंट चे अंगण and बिस्किट गच्ची

कोणास ठाऊक कसा पण शाळेत गेला ससा – A song which I associate with my love for tea , whenever I want to have it after a job well done I end up saying to myself ” ससा म्हणाला चहा हवा ”  🙂

ए आई मला पाउसात जाऊ दे – Am sure most of us have been through the dialogue with our mothers which occurs at the start of the song

आला आला पाऊस आला / येरे येरे पाऊसा रुसलास का –
Songs which I sing till date when it rains for the first time or doesn’t rain in rainy season

While the list doesn’t end here, for now I close my eyes, take three deep breaths and say a little prayer .
Hopefully I will soon return to innocence ready to teach, sing, dance and laugh with my own little innocence.
