Cottage Chilly Cuppa
This recipe can be used in monsoon or winter seasons for boosting immunity. It uses Lemongrass which has anti-bacterial , anti-fungal properties and it is loaded with Vitamin C which strengthens the immunity. Tulsi leaves are used as home remedy in the treatment of cough and cold. Ginger helps in improving digestion, reduces nausea and vomiting. Cloves help to improve expectoration process and hence control cough.

  1. Clean the lemongrass , Tulsi leaves and cut using a kitchen scissor into small pieces. Crush / Grate the fresh ginger.
  2. Place water boiling in a pot and add all the ingredients except jaggery.
  3. Let the mixture simmer on a low medium flame till it reduces to half (around 5-10 min). Do cover the pot while the mixture reduces.
  4. Strain the mixture into a cup using a tea strainer and mix the jaggery just before serving.
