Instructions
  1. Grate the coconut, do not take the bottom most coconut as it will be brown in color. Use it to prepare chutneys instead
  2. Peel and cut the bananas into small pieces
  3. Prepare the cardamom powder by removing the seeds from pods and grinding them in a mixer
  4. Grate the whole nutmeg to get the fresh nutmeg powder
  5. In a thick bottomed vessel mix bananas, freshly grated coconut, sugar and ghee and cook on a low medium flame
  6. Cook everything till the mixture becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan. You can add few spoons of semolina / rice flour if the mixture seems a bit runny even after cooking for 15 minutes
  7. Remove from flame and cool a bit. Add cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and saffrons strands
  8. Cool them in the refrigerator and mould them into squares, balls or any shape of your choice.
  9. Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for 7-8 days
